Richard Torres  Peruvian activist marries his second tree in ornate ceremony

Richard Torres sealed his marriage with a kiss inside Bogota, Colombia's national park Sunday to raise environmental awareness.

This is definitely an unusual way to expand your family tree!
As part of his plans to raise environmental awareness, a Peruvian actor and activist, Richard Torres, decided to expand marry a tree.
Torres who is also known as a serial tree-hugger, tied the knot with his second tree last Sunday in a fanciful gathering held in Colombia.
The "groom" dressed in a stylish white suit, orange tie and tinted sunglasses, beamed from ear to ear as he posed for photos beside the decorated tree at Colombia's national park in Bogota.
During the ornate ceremony young girls placed fruits and vegetables at the base of the tree as offerings, NBC reported.
Torres was also pictured sealing his symbolical marriage with a kiss. There's no word on whether it will bear fruit.
This is the activist's second marriage to tree, having married one in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The marriage is believed to be the Colombian tree's first.
